What makes a good headline?
A strong headline is specific, promises a clear benefit and fits on screen without being cut off. Numbers ("7 tools"), a clear audience ("for students"), a result ("save hours") and a little emotion ("surprising", "finally") all help people click. Avoid vague headlines like "Some thoughts on AI".
How long should a headline be?
For Google, aim for 50 to 60 characters so the full title shows. YouTube titles work best under about 70 characters, because longer ones get cut on phones. Email subject lines do best under about 50 characters.
What are power words?
Power words make people feel something or want to act: "free", "proven", "easy", "secret", "mistakes", "ultimate". One or two help. Too many make a headline sound like clickbait.
Does a high score guarantee clicks?
No. The score checks proven patterns, but the best test is real data. Try two versions and keep the one that gets more clicks.
